I'm SCREAMING!!! PAY MORE ATTENTION TO SENATE RACES!!

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by EarlG (a host of the Democratic Primaries forum).

It won't get us much if McConnell and Lindsey are still in the Senate when a Democratic President is elected.

yes.. get out the vote and all that,. whatever happens..

But, I am not so sure there will be an election..and certainly not anywhere NEAR fair.. !

It is how authoritarian dictatorships work.
How do the Chinese maintain control?
How did Mubarak do it?
How does Erdoğan do it?
How does Kim do it?

How do you think Putin gets 80% of the vote?
How does 'one man' control so much?

Because he and his cronies, whatever you want to call them, have filled every freakin' government position with gangsters.
JUST LIKE trump and the republicans are doing.. They've been at it for more than 40 years....from community governments to school boards, to county government, to state offices.... you name it....

...... the WATER has been boiling for 40+ years and now the bubbles are appearing around the edges of the kettle.

#2- NEVER ever watch the TV machine.

Here.. this is MUCH better than TV- If you are short of time, but want to get lifted right up out of your chair,
start at 1:27:00 . I think I have it cued up.

There are 2 timpanists. The one directly in the middle in the back, balding, is one of the greatest!!
This is what I did for a living for many years.... sure beats TV, eh :&gt ))

...an amendment to the Constitution would be added that:

(A) Absolutely forbid slavery for any reason whatsoever. Remove the punishment for a crime exception. Make violations of this clause punishable by death. If it's a business mandate dissolution if it's an American company with all assets going to victims and their families. If it's foreign business a 10,000 year ban on conducting any sort of business in the US or with US government personnel if said foreign businesses are found to have used slave labor along with seizure of all assets in the US.
(B) Makes voter suppression and electoral fraud capital offenses punishable by death.
(C) Make the right to vote absolute for every US citizen over the age of 18 which can never be taken away for any reason.

What about the senators with Republican governors and/or Republicans winning state wide in recent history? This seems like it should be more of a concern then the constant focus on other candidates.

For anyone worried about Texas, MJ Hegar Is already running and is an awesome candidate. I would be extremely disappointed in Beto If he dropped out to primary her.

so, Jones has a shot to hold the seat if Moore wins the nomination again.

Georgia may be winnable if GA Democrats can get somebody to run - Michelle Nunn (conserva-Dem, I know) was very close in 2014 against Isakson.

... then Dems don't control the committees, the policy priorities, the bills that get voted on -- in other words, they don't control the legislative agenda. So VOTE for EVERY Democrat on your ballot, in EVERY election (not just Presidential years). And here's the great thing: it doesn't matter if your Senator is a liberal, a centrist, a corporatist, a blue dog, yellow dog... If their Democratic butt is in a seat in Washington, they all count towards a Dem majority the same as each other!!
