She is a good and decent person. Beyond that, she is brilliant, caring and energetic, and loves this country.

(7,947 posts)I was with a few friends, ranging from quite moderate to pretty radical, and we were tasked with giving our "dream team."
I was amazed-- as different as the political leanings were, we all came up independently with... Warren/Buttigieg.
It will definitely be the highest cumulative IQ team!

(11,139 posts)There's only going to be one candidate in the fall who can claim presidential experience and that isn't worth a warm bucket of spit.

(21,738 posts)If there is something she doesn't know how to deal with, you can be damn sure she will suss it out, study it, and solicit the best advice (moral, legal, ethical, practical). She doesn't strike me as one of these "gut feeling" types.

(8,694 posts)and back then, in 86, pre-Internet all we had to go on were family verbal history and stories. Before the internet, you had to either go to Salt Lake or some local repository for records. Now, its easy with genealogy websites to verify things. Before I researched my tree, I heard all kinds of crazy family stories that werent based on fact. So I can see how it could happen. Im sure Trump will keep using it, and call her names, but I think people understand her position.

(4,168 posts)I've been a Warren supporter for YEARS, waiting impatiently for her to run for president. But Buttigieg... SO impressive. I think 4 years as her VP would give him the experience in Federal government that he's lacking. He would soak it up like a sponge.
