I realize the chances of his winning the nomination are slim.

But he's certainly made the last two presidential races so much more interesting than they would've been - and of course deeply influenced Democratic Party policy while he was at it.

was during his press conference discussing his then-very controversial visit to Nicaragua in 1985.

He acknowledged that the Sandinista regime at the time was getting "killed in the U.S. media" because, instead of asking any hard questions, "every time Reagan gives the media a photo op, it's: Thank you, Mr. President! Thank you for telling us another lie."

Classic Bernie.
