Biden delivering some major policy initiatives in regards to criminal justice...

Very strong rollout of what he plans to do to overhaul the criminal justice system in this county, including banning private prisons, restoring all rights to those who've paid their dues, ending mandatory minimums and not jailing those arrested for drug crimes.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

The center moves around and he tends to move with it. Most people now think sentencing is too harsh so that's where he is. He won't pass a purity test that way but he'll get votes.

Which is a strong reminder--all our candidates are superior to the horror show squatting in the White House at the moment. And . . .

Joe Biden is a liberal Democrat. Always has been. He also happens to be the candidate who can win 2020.

I wish he’d been a little less hurried but he clearly felt it was time to put policy out there. And there were good ones. I love free community college. I don’t think people realize how much that can boost the economy. Already established people with families can go. Tech jobs, medical jobs, industries that are begging for workers can get them.

Public option-well, I don’t hate it. Medicare for all is a great goal but the “socialism” criticism falls apart. If the end goal is medical care for all then what will get us there is what I’m for.

That gun biometric ID pitch surprised me. I’m ALL for it but it’s radical af.

Btw the MSNBC commentary afterward was atrocious.

I was shocked at the passion without any talk about what his policies were. They have a right, but I hated it.

Rev Al is interviewing him now and he’s not backing off but honestly, he’s doing really well at expanding the entire context of the “boy” remarks. Some won’t do with anything but guilt but I have to say, the Rev clearly enjoyed it.
