Why can't some media say Kamala. It's a , (punctuation)

If you are not interested enuf to learn how to properly pronounce a candidates name, you are not qualified to go on tv to critique them.

Itís , (you know a comma) lah
Itís Bet (like what you place in gambling) Oh.
Itís Boot Edge Edge

Come on, media folks, you can at least get a candidates name right before you rip into them.

Thanks for letting me vent a little about a pet peeve.

primary today, I would vote for:
Elizabeth Warren

1. Problem is it really looks like it should be pronounced like camera

Youíre almost better off with a name like Buttigieg. The media (or anyone) looks at it and says, ok, I give up, help me out here. And then word gets around. His far more difficult name probably gets mispronounced less than hers.

5. Same issue

All the mystery will disappear if these candidates break through. If Obama had never become Obama, people would still be saying Ba-RACK as much or more than Ba-ROCK.

21. I'll admit that I mispronounced all three of these names until finally getting it down right.

Kamala looks similar to Pamela - so my initial instinct was that the two names rhymed.
Beto looks similar to Beta - so my initial instinct was that the first syllable was pronounced like the first syllable in Beta.
Buttigieg - well, on that one I just threw up my hands and didn't even try - honestly, I still can't spell it by memory.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
