Biden attack ads featuring his comments on race to be launched by right-wing group

Club for Growth, a conservative political group, will launch new attack ads against Democratic presidential frontrunner Joe Biden targeting his past statements about race next week.

The ads, which come amid criticism of Mr Biden’s work with segregationists in the 1970s, will run during his first Democratic debate appearance.

The decision to attack Mr Biden is based on internal polling Club for Growth conducted that has been viewed by Reuters.

The ads will air on MSNBC and NBC stations in Des Moines, Iowa, according to the organisation.

Iowa holds the nation's first nominating contest.

Club for Growth, whose stated top policy goals include reducing income tax rates, a full repeal of Obamacare and reducing the size of the federal government, will never back a Democrat for president, but it is wading into the Democratic primary likely because Mr Biden poses the greatest risk to Donald Trump's re-election bid.

1. What will those few Dems who have latched on to every misstatement say then?

It is one thing to hold an opposing Dem candidate to account. It is quite another to fuel the RW opposition.

the gop is not sitting around waiting for DU or even twitter to tell them how to attack us. They are pretty good, demonstrably, at oppo research all on their own.

Socialism will be attacked and pinned on Democrats, and that’s a real thing. Most of what the Clinton’s were investigated for wasn’t even real.

Face it, the GOP doesnt care about race relations. They just want people like you to spread their anti-Biden message. Hillary was their last target. AOC is a huge target.

It is a policy proposal. If the gop fights us on issues we will win.

it look like there is a motive to perpetuating this and labeling it. What are the motives for that? That’s what the GOP wants you to help them with. I’ll stick with Clyburn’s comments. He also noted his observations about Booker.

Attacking Medicare for All and socialism will be real things. Sanders lost in 2016 and 2018. Those are all real events.

Democrats being smeared by demonizing socialism. That is more real than a trumped up twisted interpretation of one word.

as if the pukes wouldn't have found this by themselves...especially since it was Biden who brought it up, not some crafty lefty interrogator with evil intent. He did, all on his own.

Fuel and match, indeed.

He and his minions are focusing their energies on Biden to make us think that Biden is his biggest concern, when the opposite is true. Biden would be the least of Trump's worries, and they know it.
