Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumI just got a, request for a contribution, email from Bernie. How this staunch Hillary supporter got
on his email list I don't know. My guess is from when he breached the firewall between Hillary and his mailing list in 2016.
I tried to send a civil no reply but I could not remain civil.
I don't think he is going to get much help from 2016 Hillary supporters. That primary still leaves bad memories in my mind.

(31,106 posts)I know what is going to happen, it did before, will again, I cant stop it.
But I will NOT be a part of it...Someday it will all be out in the open who is who, but it will of course be too late then.

(115,587 posts)It's doubtful anyone will read your reply; all you can really do is unsubscribe. I don't think he's going to get support from even a lot of his own 2016 supporters - I was one, but things have changed a lot and I'm no longer even slightly interested in him. I unsubscribed to his emails a long time ago.

(38,958 posts)but the email could have come from a variety of sources not just the one you suspect.
If he is the nominee I will certainly support his campaign as I have found Bernie Sanders way ahead of many though the years on issues that I find important such as income inequality.

(3,649 posts)provided your email address to make a political donation, fill out a survey, sign a petition, etc. then your email address was likely sold as part of an email list to Bernie's campaign. All political candidates and organizations do this. I receive donation requests from candidates and organizations I don't recall supporting too.

(12,448 posts)I got an email from the Sanders campaign after the firewall breach that he clearly took advantage of. I promptly replied that I was demanding to be deleted from their email list, and that I never wanted to hear from them again and I didn't. But it's happening again?

(31,261 posts)It could have nothing to do with 2016. I have occasionally gotten email from Republican's because I donated money to a cause like restoration of a landmark, or bought something that fell within the zone of a supporter of theirs.
I would not get worked up. The delete function is in email for a reason, then go to your trash folder and delete all within that.

(44,980 posts)I got one from Mike Johnston and Maggie Toulouse Oliver, her I had to google. I was never aware of either. I'm surprised DUers aren't more aware of things like that. It must be easier to go to a conspiracy though.
