he paints himself that by not just saying that he was wrong... He can't seem to acknowledge that his position was wrong and that his views have changed but has to defend his position. I see the same thing with him defending some of those awful 80's drug laws that he helped write and pass. He still defends them. He is unable to admit in hindsight that they contributed to the criminalization of a large swath of poor, young and black citizens.

Harris was my first choice. Then I went more radical for my kind, I expect Pete to serve in many capacities but never give up. Someday, Boomer's, we'll have a first husband in the WH, Str8 or LGBT.
I want younger blood in office, period, and couldn't give a rat's ass about anyone "reaching across the isle" to decrepit and malicious Republican thugs.
Yes, Joe Biden will restore us to "normal".
But it won't be enough to fix the mess without having the likes of Harris keep his Boomer ass from kowtowing to Rethugs.
Remember, debates and campaigns promise the moon and stars, then deliver moon nuggets.
Our younger candidates will push, fight, outlive and oust the corporatist puppets to get this right-swung pendulum back left.

Permit me to describe what it is like to be 75-76.

I am quite healthy and active. I play pickleball 2 or 3 times a week for about 2 hours. I cannot play more often because I get too tired. Incidentally, I am very carefully about what I eat and drink in order to try to maintain optimal health. I need no prescription drugs. I do take supplements.

When I get tired I experience some mental dullness. The words I need do not come to mind easily.

I often dose off in my chair in the evening when watching TV. (I always watch Rachel.)

If I am tired, I sometimes dose off while sitting at my computer, perhaps playing Freecell.

I am intelligent and educated -- I have two master's degrees (theoretical math and counseling psychology).

With apologies to Biden and Biden supporters, should I try to do the most difficult job in the world, president of the United States? No way.
