Isn't Biden's argument on busing similiar

to the ruling handed down by the supreme court on gerrymandering? It is a local issue the fed gov't has no right to interfere
kept on saying your city council made the ruling on busing not the Dept of Education, I'm paraphrasing. Felt like he was dissing department of Ed.

Or am I misinterpreting that, If I'm not why couldn't Biden have just said yes he was wrong, nothing wrong with being wrong and later seeing the light

I like Biden if he won the nomination I would be more than fine with him

If I were to vote in a presidential

here is a snippet

Around the country, the case of Ms. Jones — who was indicted by a grand jury for manslaughter — has served as a stark illustration of how pregnant women can be judged and punished when a fetus is treated as a person by the justice system.

Reached by phone on Friday night, the forewoman of the grand jury, Mischelle Cagle, said she was unaware of the national furor. She declined to discuss the details of the case, but said that it was one of hundreds of cases the jury had heard over the course of a few days. She said the jurors did their best to probe for the truth and follow Alabama law.

And that's the problem with the Supreme Court's decision about gerrymandering -- "leave it local".

I am so disappointed that many black pundits are mischaracterizing the Biden/Harris incident. Harris has become the new spoiler for us in 2020 I believe. I hope not. I like Harris and I like Biden. I like my party over them both.

Joe was a public defender. Kamala was a prosecutor. Let that sink in.

There is far more important issues that Joe's busing position 40 years ago. We are about to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I am very sad that Van Jone, Joy and others are making this a HUGE issue at this time.

just like Obama beat the crap out of mcpalin. I’m not at all convinced Biden is the best option. Warren is strong and is not afraid to fight in any place. Harris is genuine and relatable. Pete is in a league of his own with his military experience.

Let’s look at the history of best options: Gore, Kerry, Clinton. Didn’t that work out great. And then Obama who - bingo, magic ticket.

Harris will easily attract BS and Warren coalition due to medicare for all support which Biden is strongly against. A perfect storm for the Orange One. Wisconsin won by ~25K votes; Michigan by ~10K and Penn by ~40K.

He truly pulled off a hat trick. Can he do it again? Yes anything is possible. Is he likely? NO.

Can Harris carry these states? I don't see why not. Trump is polling terribly in these states today.

I don't see why Biden is such a better pick than Harris. Each has different strengths. I personally think Biden is the weaker candidate and as this campaign goes on his flaws will start to come to light. Some were bought up in tonight's debate by friendly Democrats. Imagine what the Pukes will do with the same information if Biden is our candidate.

You cannot dismiss the not so good parts of his past when he brags about it as what makes him electable. I guess you can, but it makes you look unauthentic.

To Biden's credit, he's run a pretty good campaign so far. He basically only attends small parties and have raised funds. He has stayed away from large events that features a forum. Communities with "good schools" aren't going to agree to have kids from lesser schools coming into their neighborhoods. There are many ways he could have deflected without coming across as callous and dismissive. He could have acknowledged that policies on paper don't always provide a clear understanding of the on the ground experiences of people affected. And that he evaluated the relevant information with good intentions and without fully understanding how policies and stories might sound when informed by experiences he has not had.

He didn't even have to say he was wrong to accept her assessment as a valid. The defensiveness is itself an indication that he has not done the work and self examination of privilege. His credibility is compromised because understandings of white supremacy are different from what they were when he was actively supporting the civil rights movement.
