Harris clearly struck a nerve, because scruffy little shitweasel Don Jr leaped into action.

I don't want to post his now-deleted tweet here, but suffice it to say that he fired up the racist conspiracy base, and they were quick on the uptake. After he deleted the tweet, the minions stepped up and carried it for him.

I know many, perhaps most, of the folks on DU are prepared for how LOW this election is going to go.

I also know that if Harris makes it into the home stretch, she's equipped to deal with it.

The slimy wheels are turning. In the 2020 election, there will be no "bottom."

And Don Jr gave us an early taste of that.

That's about all I want to say about it here. I deliberately chose not to post it because I'm not going to take a hit for "spreading Republican talking points," but because this was initiated by Don Jr, I felt that it was appropriate to address it under the Terms of Service of this site.

We need to see this crap coming from a distance. That's why I posted it.

8. The Raw Story headline was...
Fri Jun 28, 2019, 12:00 PM
Jun 2019

"Trump Jr and an army of suspicious social media accounts target Kamala Harris with a racist smear."

It was a dog whistle for the racist conspiracy bots to go into action, and they did.

Once again, my entire reason for posting is that this was initiated by Don Jr, and we need to be aware that "the Trump campaign" WILL be pushing those buttons, and they already are.

11. We can't really do anything other than be aware and be prepared

Trump fanned the flames of racism, and got elected.

Pundit after pundit after pundit has been saying that his 2020 campaign is a re-hash of his 2016 campaign.

MSNBC played the clip of him, back in the birther days, saying he had dispatched private investigators to Hawaii and "you won't believe what we found down there."

Problem is, people DID believe it, he KNEW it was a lie, it got him traction, so he leaned into it.

He can take false shots at Obama's record in 2020, but he can't take shots at Obama as an opponent, because he's not running.

So he'll do the "next best thing"...he'll start a birther movement around Harris, and try to slime her in the minds of African American voters.

As I said, there is no "bottom."

One of my low info friends said it to me when I asked how she felt about Kamala. I corrected my friend, but my heart sank a little because I knew then and there that the trolls had already been hard at work (and had made considerable progress).

Don Jr. is jumping onboard with the Neo-Nazis and Obama-birther contingent.

Good to know. Not surprising.

And this is why we must win 2020.

Therefore, she's an "American Black," borrowing Ali the troll's terminology. Her parents were immigrants, but that doesn't make her any less black or american. Also, Jamaica had forced slavery as well, so her dad is likely a descendant of slaves.
