That's what debates are all about. One moment doesn't necessarily define a candidate, but a series of those moments, if mishandled, can spell doom.

moving people from point A to point B. We didn't know that then. But she can run on systemic racism now. So can Biden.

"I must try to see the difference between my picture of a person and his behavior, as it is narcissistically distorted, and the person's reality as it exists regardless of my interests, needs and fears.”

I can empathize with Kamala without demonizing Joe.

It isn't about how you or I "see" someone (which is the definition of "subjective" as opposed to objective truth). It is about facts. What did the person actually say, what did he do, how did he vote?

These are discoverable things, unlike his motives or feelings, or what we perceive.

Truth is relative. To whatever is convenient, for whomever. Subjective, not objective. I get what you are saying. Thanks for the clarification.

Biden opposed busing and worked with unsavory characters in pursuit of the common good. He doesn't believe and I don't believe he's a racist. Kamala believes this was regrettable behavior he should be held to account for. That is her truth and I believe it as well.

I think she took an opportunity to attack the main competitor by using her own story. He has a long record that can be attacked. What about her record. She used lawyer's dirty tricks to make somebody look bad and her own story at that. I don't see how a prosecutor would make a good president, although I would like to see her go after Trump, but that doesn't make her presidential.

about Harris. But, Biden's record is his record. Maybe he still believes in that position, and good on him for sticking up for himself. Maybe he has changed his mind, if so he should just say so. Maybe he doesn't but he just can't bring himself to say, "times have changed; I've learned and I'm sorry".

Regardless: he owns the fallout. Objectively speaking.
