A question for Biden backers only.

This is not a slam or an accusation.
I greatly respect our former Veep and would actively support him as our nominee.
But since he announced, Ive watched a lot of his speeches, interviews, and the debate.
And I have noticed that he doesn’t speak as smoothly and as fluidly as he did when he was Veep.
It’s not a huge difference but maybe about a 10% difference.
He stumbles over his words a little more and occasionally drops word endings especially when he speaks too rapidly.
Now, maybe this is just me and I’m being way too critical.
Has anybody else that supports him noticed any difference in his delivery?

10. Biden added significant support for Obama.

This is major heresy here, however, a 2008 ticket with Biden for Prez and Obama for VP, could well have generated more Congressional seats and less racist resistance in 2008. [Which racism was a major propellant for the resulting tea party, which did stymie Obama to a significant degree in 2010 and beyond].

It most likely has to do with the stuttering problem he had.

It looks to me like it happens when he is trying to rush his answers.

Since he was VP. I work at UD, where the Biden Institute is. He seems fine to me. I do agree that he’s not one to rush in his speech. A display where you’re only given 30-45 seconds to answer a question, and everyone spoke to different questions didn’t really seem like a “debate” to me. More like a spelling bee - everybody gets different words and better answer correctly.

14. Joe Biden's childhood struggle with a stutter: How he overcame it and how it shaped him
Mon Sep 16, 2019, 06:17 PM
Sep 2019

Valerie Biden Owens, the former vice president’s younger sister, says that one lasting impact of his childhood stutter is that it has given him more empathy and compassion for others’ trials, and it uniquely equips him to handle Trump’s taunts.

“Trump is a bully, and Joe has been standing up to bullies his entire life,” Owens said in an interview. “Joe’s stuttering, I think, is one of the principal reasons — a major, major, major reason — that he is the good and compassionate and kind man that he is.”

About 3 million Americans suffer from the speech impediment of stuttering, marked by involuntary repetition of sounds, syllables or words. According to the National Institute on Deafness and other Communication Disorders, most children outgrow their stutter, but for 25% of them, stuttering is a lifelong challenge.

Biden has overcome the serious stutter of his youth, but remnants of it resurface on occasions such as when he is very tired, he said in a 2016 speech. Experts on stuttering who follow him closely say they have noticed it on several occasions during the campaign, such as an interview on “The View” when he addressed complaints about his tendency to touch and hug women while campaigning, and an April speech in Pittsburgh launching his campaign, when he struggled with words.
