1. Bernie is a great candidate.
At this point, I'm hoping it comes down to him or Warren. Also, the video makes a great point. People like to point at Sanders' legislative record and say he hasn't accomplished much (I'd argue differently), but the fact that he has been able to mobilize thousands of people within the last few years behind a $15/hr minimum wage and actually pressure companies into adopting it shows how viable his "political revolution" can really be if enough people get behind an issue and demand action.

3. Problem is a 15 dollar an hour wage is meaningless or atleast it will be as long as
companies are allowed to continue shorting workers on hours.
Even then the long term impact will be negotiable because inflation will eventually eat away at that amount and then we will be right back where we are now with workers needing another wage increase because their employers are selfish, greedy assholes. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

4. There are definitely systemic problems in the system that need to be addressed
in the meantime, though, people have to eat, and wouldn't it be great if the company paid it instead of taxpayers

5. Agreed but a long term approach is probably going to
have to be done if we want real long term improvement.
Personally I lean towards linking a companies taxes to the number of employees earning poverty level wages with poverty being any wage that is less than 500% of the federal poverty level. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

7. That's why we should support all unionization efforts of all service workers where we can...
there are already companies where the majority of workers are part time, with hours constantly getting shorter.
By the way, 15 dollars an hour still doesn't equal what an inflation adjusted minimum wage would be, which I think as of this year or so, would be 22 dollars an hour. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Undecided |
