Notice that Sanders "hits back," Biden "chides," Inslee "knocks," but Harris "snipes" and "attacks"?

Interesting.

59. The fact that they're occasionally used to describe white men doesn't mean there's not an obvious

disparity in the way black females are described.

White men are sometimes called thugs and gentiles are sometimes accused of being greedy, but that doesn’t mean that black men being described as thugs and Jews being described as greedy isn’t often racist and antisemitic.

But your effort is noted.

67. You know what's weird?

I was just thinking of the phrases people use in online discussions when they want to avoid directly answering a question.

One is avoiding the discussion by accusing someone of getting "worked up" or "angry," when in fact that person (me, in this instance) is chilling in his living room watching the Discovery channel. No stomping here.

Another is the classic argumentum ad populum - the belief a statement must be true because many or most people believe it. You just did it.

But the fact is, Google archives just about everything, and we can easily surmise which of these words has been used most for whom and by whom. It definitely renders the OP false.

Candidate A is critical of candidate B. The story is "A attacks B." I don't think all of this routine political back & forth should be framed in that way. No need to hype up this discourse into an image of people launching attacks at each other.

49. I do notice this. Harris is being petty. The other in the field is merely being strong.

Or paternal. Where have we seen this in the past. Thank you.

51. Yes I had noticed. It's not "interesting" it's sexist.

58. I'm getting a kick out of folks scrambling to find any example of "snipe" or "attack" being used

to describe a white male’s behavior and eagerly cutting and pasting them at you, as if that obviates your OP (well, not really AT you - since most of the discussions are being conducted about, not in direct response to the OP).

Because we all know that if you can just find an example of a white person being called lazy, a non-immigrant being called violent, or a man being called hysterical, that means that such terms being used to describe black people, immigrants and women can never be derogatory.

But at least you’re keeping them occupied ...
