Beto, 1 day in, already is building up those endorsements!

One day into the race, Beto already has 4x house members endorsing him:
Rep. Veronica Escobar, Texas
Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, New York
Rep. Kathleen Rice, New York
Rep. Stephanie Murphy, Florida

Go Beto 2020!

primary today, I would vote for:

Where his money comes from

O’Rourke founded Stanton Street Technology Group, a software and technology company, in the late 1990s. His wife, Amy Sanders O’Rourke, took over the company when O'Rourke ran for Congress, and then sold her stake in the company in 2017 before his Senate run. Filings put proceeds from the sale between $100,000 and $1 million.

O'Rourke was also a partner in Imperial Arms LLC, a real estate company that owns an El Paso rental property valued at more than $1 million. The O’Rourkes sold the property in early 2017.

According to the Senate disclosure documents, Amy Sanders O’Rourke had an income of about $65,000 in 2017. She made $53,000 as a consultant for the Council Regional Economic Expansion and Education Development, or CREEED, an El Paso-based educational policy group that has raised significant money, some to support charter schools. She earned about $12,000 from the Stanton Street group before she sold her stake in late March 2017.

She seems to be very supportive. Being in the spotlight can be hard for people.

https://www.townandcountrymag.com/society/politics/a26825859/amy-sanders-beto-o-rourke-wife-facts/

"You could feel the floor moving almost. It was not totally clear that Beto was what everybody was looking for, but just like that people were so ready for something. So that was totally shocking. I mean, like, took-my-breath-away shocking."

It seems that Amy will be just as involved this time around. When Beto announced that he was running for president, he tweeted out a video of himself with Amy, saying "Amy and I are happy to share with you that I'm running to serve you as the next president of the United State of America."

Still, Amy has her reservations. Beto revealed to Texas Monthly that when he first told Amy that he was planning to run for congress in 2010, she burst into tears. And in preparation for her husband's presidential run, she picked up Michelle Obama's Becoming. Amy was not pleased by what she learned about campaigning. "She was kind of pissed at me when we got home," Beto told Vanity Fair. "Almost like, 'You fucker.'"

From OnTheIssues.org:

Sean Maloney

Kathleen Rice

Stephany Murphy

Second, even if they were “moderate”, I’d be glad that Beto doesn’t issue those ridiculous purity tests. Those tests make for pretty talking points and lost elections, so I’ll pass on that.

I’d rather see this senate map:

And, I’d rather see this electoral college map:

Actually provide a Democratic Party majority for Senate and the Presidency in 2020.

Perhaps this is why, after only 1 day announced, Beto has twice as many Rep’s endorsing him than Bernie does.

This is EXACTLY why I’m anyone BUT Bernie or bust.
