Truth is an absolute affirmative defense against a lawsuit involving libel and slander. It would be impossible to prove that anything on that billboard is false and furthermore, a willful act.

Public figures always have a hard time proving libel and slander because they are well-known and thus subject to a first amendment criticism. This is even more true about persons running for an election.

So BS can knock himself out and sue -- it will just give far more publicity to that billboard.
