Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris

Elizabeth Warren by Kamala Harris

During a Senate floor debate this year, Senator Elizabeth Warren read a letter from Martin Luther King Jr.'s widow Coretta Scott King. Minutes later, she was silenced midsentence by majority leader Mitch McConnell, under an obscure and rarely invoked Senate rule.

"She was warned," Senator McConnell said. "She was given an explanation. Nevertheless, she persisted."

Yes, she did. And it was just the latest example of this plainspoken daughter of the Plains standing up for the middle class and the marginalized.

I first met Elizabeth after the 2008 housing crisis, when we battled the big banks and mortgage lenders together. I witnessed a fierce and fearless fighter, the same progressive champion who oversaw the $700 billion bank rescue and fought to create a consumer-protection agency. Today I'm honored to serve alongside her in the Senate.

This Is Terrific': Warren on Kamala Harris in 2020 Race

“I think this is terrific," Senator Elizabeth Warren, the first woman to jump into the race three weeks ago, said of the news. "You know, Democrats are full of ideas and full of energy and that’s how we’re going to make real change in this country.”

Warren brushed off the idea that Harris might pull from her support, saying, “It’s about bringing more and more people into the fight”.

2. No they never do. And they never ask men

how they balance their professional life with bringing up a family, or whether they shout at their staff, or whether their laughs sound like a cackle.

3. Awww.. that's really

heartwarming, crazytown.

Elizabeth and Kamala have confidence in themselves.. they don't have to tear someone down to build themselves up. Like a certain Senator who attempts to marginalize POC, Women, and GLBT.

Thank You

10. But if I had to choose between a keyboard warriors opinion of Kamala

and a woman who worked with her to save families from being thrown out of their homes, I’d trust the bots and bros every single time

12. My opinion of Elizabeth changed while watching her address

to the National council of American Indians. I was expecting damage control. Instead she showed real heart.
