Warren Campaign participates in RuPaul's DragCon

Elizabeth Warren Was the Only Presidential Hopeful at RuPaul's DragCon

Politics got fabulous this past weekend at the second annual RuPaul's DragCon in New York City.

Senator Elizabeth Warren, who has long been a prominent ally to the LGBTQ+ community, was the only (and possibly first) presidential hopeful with a booth at the convention of over 50,000 attendees.

(snip) Warren also had an official video message play during the convention. According to Yahoo!, RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars winner Trixie Mattel introduced the presidential hopeful on the main stage at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

(snip) She called attention to the "record number of trans Americans [that] were killed last year. Disproportionally trans women of color. We need to call it out and we need to fight back. Everyone should be able to go to school, to work, to get healthcare, or just walk down the street without fear of discrimination or violence. Equal means equal, period, and that’s what I’m fighting for. I’m honored to fight by your side."
