(70,023 posts)truth is a great defense.
it was my understanding that the whole point of a separate forum was to allow for freer speech than is usually desirable.
when i get called, and it is linked to something in a mainstream source, i always let it stand. obviously i am not that, but i was repeating what she said on my teevee machine.

(1,812 posts)At this point , I am only interested in listening to 6 candidates : Bernie , Biden, Warren, Booker, Buttigieg and Harris .. A 2 hour debate with the candidates who have a real shot at winning the nomination would be much more interesting than ABC's 3 hour marathon involving too many candidates who don't have a prayer . I am probably being unfair but this is what I really believe ..

(90,564 posts)...from people going on about "transparency" and "equal opportunity for every candidate to be seen" and on and on. I think the Dem Party has done its best. From now on there is a process of self-winnowing as people run out of money and drop out.

(58,785 posts)She wants exposure, displays what she has to offer, they like it and give it air time. A symbiotic relationship.
I read that negative press coverage of our candidate in the latter part of 2016 reached 82 r 83% of the whole and never dropped below 64%. Bob Woodward needed to promote a new book, so CNN and MSNBC traded exposure in return for his comparing Hillary to Watergate at least twice per show. Multiply by every guest except those too in demand to have to knuckle, like ex- intelligence chiefs.
It's a testament to what's good in us and sensible in enough voters that, spite of everything, we ever win elections.
