Would it affect your vote if Elizabeth Warren moved toward the Medicare and private option
approach to healthcare (aka Medicare for All who want it)?
I think the only thing that could potentially hold Sen Warren back from the nomination is her current stance on healthcare. I'm hoping that she's limiting the amount of details she gives out because she knows she will have to pivot more to the center when it's just her and Biden or Harris left on the field. Right now, many people dismiss the idea of Medicare for all because it seems like an impossible suggestion. But what if it's not impossible? If it's not impossible, then people like me are forced to reevaluate our support because there are too many unanswered questions regarding the logistics of how Medicare for all would be implemented. The current system accounts for about 20% of our economy. That's not something that can be shut down overnight. What would happen to the people and businesses whose livelihoods are directly or indirectly tied into the private insurance industry in one way or another? It could be a really good thing or some people could end up worse off. A lot of Biden's detractors wonder why so many people are sticking by him--they frantically bring up his gaffes, but Biden's detractors are not considering that perhaps some people take Bernie and Elizabeth at their word with regard to MFA, and they are simply trying to protect their healthcare and/or insurance related jobs, businesses, or investments.

1. Healthcare will not be the deciding factor in the nomination.
And certainly not a major issue in the General.

11. Was 2016?
2018 was about Resistance. I'd have voted for a Yellow Dog with a D after it's name in 2018. I'm lucky I got to vote for Pramila Jayapal.
2020 is about saving the Republic first and foremost. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Undecided |

15. the resistance was fighting to save health care. look at the campaigns that were
run in districts.
maybe in very blue districts with safe democratic seats things might have been different. but the flipped districts were very focused on saving health care. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Undecided |

2. M4A is a landslide loser in the General and she knows it.
M4A has served her well so far but she probably can see the polling data.

4. Yes
Her current plan is to go exactly as far left as Bernie so he can’t outflank her on the left. Then when she wins the nom she’ll tack to the center.

8. Winning the nomination is dependent upon her moving center first.
In my opinion. But I fully get that she has to knock Bernie out first. I wish he'd just drop out!

22. She has too many plans and no way to implement them or to pay for them once implemented. I
consider that to be a failing. Boldness for the sake of boldness is flawed leadership. Huge waste of energy dreaming up pie in the sky when she could have been working on do-able policy.
She has never given me any sense of what qualifies her to be a leader of a superpower, THE leader of the free world, to lead the international community, to deal with a world growing closer than ever before to a first nuclear catastrophe. If she dreams up one more plan, I think I will stop reading anything about her. I notice when she is not giving the occupy wall street economics lecture and not explaining one of her plans or unveiling a new one, she hasn’t much conversation. She has discovered the black electorate, but rather late in the day. Now she is outreaching to black leaders. Hey, Liz, they were there all along. I don’t think the problem in her potentially attaining a wider base is where she gets labeled on the political spectrum, but how wise or foolish her proposals are both in terms of political and financial capital. I wonder too if she understands all she will have to do to rebuild the broken infrastructure Trump will have left behind. And will she, between policy designing and implementing, have time to Work on getting Iran back to the table, broker agreements between Israel and Palestinians? Does she realize the Republicans want to cut social security while she is giving everyone two hundred more a month? No mention of protecting it as is, first order of biz. Oh, and while waiting to roll out M4All, Repugs want to cut Medicare and Medicaid. No mention. Big ideas... ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

I trust her to find a smart solution. Smart politicians aren’t afraid to change their plan if it proves unworkable politically, or in practice.

21. If Mayor Pete is my "Choice #1", then Elizabeth Warren is my "Choice #1A", so I'm
not really sure how to answer the poll, but she would essentially be adopting Mayor Pete's position on health care, which I believe in my heart is the way to go.
