Biden to Trump: Release your tax returns or shut up

https://www.rawstory.com/2019/10/biden-finally-unloads-on-trump-for-smearing-his-son-release-your-tax-returns-or-shut-up/

At a press conference in Ohio, Biden was asked if he had done enough to stop his son from taking a retainer from a company in Ukraine.

“He is running the most corrupt government in the history of the United States of America,” Biden charged. “He is running the most corrupt government in the history of the United States of America.”

“Look, Mr. President, you want to talk about corruption,” the candidate said. “I’ve released 21 years of my tax returns. I entered as one of the poorest men in Congress, left as one of the poorest men in government and as vice president. I made no money while I was in there other than my salary.”

“Mr. President, even Richard Nixon released his tax returns,” he added. “Mr. President, release your tax returns or shut up.”

Especially the "shut up" part. That will get tRump's goat and cause more mad frothing and tweeting, which makes the contrast even starker to the few wobbly middle folk left.

we need his voice as a party. Wise crackin', irascible, focused, blunt. My mom would always say about him, "he's got his Irish up!". Calling out Trump for what he is - it's a necessary strategy that can cut through the thickest smokescreen that Trump can fogulate.

See? In my blunt mind, I made up a word - fogulate - but you know exactly what I mean. Obfuscation. Obstruction.

Democrats cannot allow themselve to be put on the defensive. We have to make the fight, and take the fight to Trump and the rest of his GOP enabling hooligans!

Hooligans! Irish!

have been waiting for this exact tack, taking the offensive directly to Trump.

I think 'Release your tax forms or shut up' qualifies. LOL. And it's the sort of push back that will goad Trump into a sputtering rage. Today, Donnie's meltdown was attributed to a House vote condemning the Syria/Kurd disaster. It was a bipartisan vote with well over 300 members signing on. Even Republicans are finding Trump's incoherence worthy of criticism (at last!). But who knows? Trump could have gotten wind of this statement and the words stirred the pot. Or set the whole stew to a final boil.

Joe needs to keep this push going, hot and heavy and not giving Trump an inch. None of this scandal is about Biden or his son. It's about the most corrupt, inept and delusional individual ever to reside in the White House.

Keep on pounding and stirring, Joe!
