It's a little disheartening that here at DU....

....Tulsi Gabbard is currently polling ahead of Klobuchar, Booker and Castro.

Yes, I know nominally she is a Democrat by affiliation and she has a right to be on that poll...but still, come on.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

some folks were mad about the Biden attacks so cheered her on when she went after Harris.

That's some of it. Some of it are the folks who are single issue war in the middle east voters who only care about getting all troops out everywhere and think she's the leader on that somehow. The rest rhyme with bot.

The other three simply have not for various reasons some fair, some not, caught on with a whole lot of people. So it doesn't take much to pass them.

this accusation is not to shutdown conversation, but to examine people's motives and connections. If the republican party had been seriously engaged in examining their candidates motives and connections, we wouldn't be stuck with a president who owes his election to a foreign government. that many thought had disappeared or were deleted. Many of the pro Russian posts are still there in the DU archives and at archive.org for all to see.

You may want to visit the archives. There may be some posts that you may have forgotten about. Just some friendly advice you can feel free to ignore.

As for me... I did my part. Nothing there that I have forgotten about.

Have a great day melmen.

I can think of some things that are even funnier.

Like when someone gets caught posting repulsively homophobic things and claims they were relying on "incorrect information"

That they were merely "misinformed".. That they didn't know the truth-- as if this information was not available in the mid-2000s

Things like that. I mean, that's not particularly funny in itself of course. The funny part is them thinking anyone will buy it.

I don't see the pro-Gabbard people in any day to day discussions.

Any candidate that bashes Hillary, parrots the Putin crib notes about Syria, and has Russian Twitter bots boosting her social media creds has to be suspect.

If she runs as an Independent or 3rd party candidate in the months ahead, that will confirm that Gabbard is compromised.

Fri Oct 18, 2019, 04:04 PM

that enrage everyone?

I've never looked, until just now, since I don't consider her a viable candidate. What she has posted on her website sounds like several other well thought of candidates -- Medicare for All, women and racial rights, climate change, gun control, hold Wall Street accountable, etc.

I get the threat of a 3rd Party run, but that is recent.

BTW, would love to see Klobuchar gain traction.

But you better not take Hillary to task for her "bashing" of a Democratic public figure.

No matter what you thing of Gabbard, what Hillary said is conspiratorial and is not helpful in defeating Trump.

But Tulsi won't do that because she has been casting the Democratic Party in a negative light from Day 1. Hillary just said out loud what many people have been thinking, Tulsi is not out to help us.

Tulsi Gabbard is about as likely to win the nomination as hogs are likely to fly out of Iowa under their own power and land at Dulles.

Why the drama? The time spent on this is better spent in numerous ways that are more productive.

Support Gabbard or let every thread about her sink. The outcome will be the same.
