The whole operation was a joke set up to pay family, expand donor lists, and maintain his presence for a presidential run. They did little to nothing. Occasionally they did get together to pat each other on the back.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

....less than $500,000 in contributions the year they were operating, but paid more than 20% of that, $100,000, to Jane's son, David Driscoll.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanders_Institute According to Wikipedia, the "Sanders Institute" was supposed to be some sort of "think tank" or something that was started by Jane. Apparently it enjoyed a tax-exempt status of some sort.

A think tank or policy institute is a research institute which performs research and advocacy concerning topics such as social policy, political strategy, economics, military, technology, and culture. Most policy institutes are non-profit organisations, which some countries such as the United States and Canada provide with tax exempt status. Other think tanks are funded by governments, advocacy groups, or corporations, and derive revenue from consulting or research work related to their projects.

Where did they derive their funding and other revenue? Who was on the payroll? What kind of thinking did it do? Is it known for promoting or advocating any major accomplishments or achievements or policies?

They must have been very humble and kept a fairly low profile... or maybe they just didn't do very much. Honestly, I believe the FIRST time I ever heard of them was when there was chatter that it may be disbanding soon. When it comes to accomplishments and influence, I guess that speaks for itself if its biggest newsmaking event is the possibility that it's likely to be shuttered.

always follow a sudden new topic on which they haven't been told what to say yet. It's a thing with people who follow leaders instead being self-directed according to their own principles.

Speaking of Sanders so far distancing himself in silence, Gabbard has always struck me as erratic and self-damaging, potentially self destructive. I wonder if that's why Sanders rejected her when she ostentatiously shat on the DNC and then offered herself with that sterling credential to him. I thought he was very smart to avoid taking a troublemaker inside then, but I wasn't thinking of her relation with Russia as a problem. After all, he has his own relationship with them and his staffers routinely, openly spread RT messages.
