Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumPrediction: Bernie will be endorsed by Yang and Gabbard..and will lose anyway
it seems evident that politicians at the very far left (AOC, whom I like) and politicians who appeal to the Fox crowd (Gabbard and Yang) will endorse the only non-Democrat with a chance to win.
Said endorsements will be overhyped by people on Twitter and pundits, who will tout them as game changers
This will be followed by a Warren or Biden victory because almost all Democrats either no don't know who Yang and Gabbard are,, or don't give a damn about their opinions.

(10,143 posts)Refusing to reach out to broaden his base isn't a winning strategy. Hiring a bunch of Green Party supporting Twitter trolls to run his campaign isn't a winning strategy either.

That was a very very long time ago.
And Pete would automatically lose a chance for the vice president nomination if Bernie doesn't pull a comeback.

I want highly principled, competent, committed candidates who understand down to their bones what it means to be liberal and are just as deeply proud in these troubled days to be liberal member of the Democratic Party.
We're it. The ones who can and must save our democracy. There is no one else.

(58,785 posts)to rescue us from all those desperate years of peace and prosperity he sees as something entirely different. It'd take a worse disaster than the Great Depression to bring us to revolution, but some of his followers were indiscreet enough to say they believed Republicans would destroy our nation and create their chance, first step the Republicans.
In addition to that 12%, I've read that 2% refused to vote at all in the GE, and another 12% or so voted third party. Never to forget, of course, that 3/4 of his primary voters were sensible Democrats who preferred to follow Obama with continued progressive advances under another Democratic administration -- NOT massive Republican corruption and destruction of our progressive democracy.
Considering what they're getting, you'd think they'd be happier. Maybe it's moving too slow.

(58,785 posts)who must have been persuaded not to vote at all by his and his "surrogates" constantly trumpeted claims of Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton corruption and malfeasance. When people don't know what to think and even when just disgusted by obvious dirty politics, they tend to turn off.
Sanders knew exactly what he was doing and, especially in the last weeks, he must have realized that it could possibly throw the election to the Republicans. He'd done exactly that before in Vermont and was completely unrepentant because he sees no significant difference between Republicans and Democrats. "Tweedledum" or "Tweedledee," whichever.
