Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumCan you see this come down to Amy and Elizabeth?
I can. Amy Klobuchar has been doing this slow pace style as shown on Rachel earlier. It also worked for McCain.
Warren is steady and always growing, but it has its limits.
If Joe has a brain fart, and I apologize to Joe fans, we others worry.
So there is left the left and the right from this party.
Each side is not bad. It is all better than Trump

(5,969 posts)In a system where the candidate with a couple of million more votes wins, she'd also be President.

(701 posts)Klobuchar will defeat Buttigieg, then Sanders/Warren will defeat Klobuchar. Sanders defeats Warren. That's my scenario. I agree Klobuchar is the dark horse and she's moving up tactically. Buttigieg only because he's funded hugely by corporate sponsors.

I can tell that you're concerned, though.

(14,808 posts)She had him dead to rights, after he blew up on her in regards to beer.
Amy K should have made clear to him that such an outburst not only was inappropriate, it was disqualifying for anyone under consideration for the SC.
Instead, she smiled and talked about hed dads problem with alcohol. Not only did the nationally televised hearings move on, her opportunity to demonstrate presidential decision making and toughness standing up to deranged privilege was lost.

(58,785 posts)ones who lacked sufficient respect/admiration based on what they'd learned about her to balance a negative impression? None of them get it all right all the time, anyway, and what gets ignored or hits bad and with whom is often a whim of fortune.

Kamala pretended to have something on him but didnt.
Cory flailed to no avail.

(115,103 posts)She made a pitch for donations after the last debate. If enough people decided to donate and more start picking her in polls she would have a chance, but as it stands it doesn't seem like that is very likely.

On the other hand we had an African American president so everything is possible.

(34,163 posts)Nationally, she peaked at 3.7% back in March 2019 and is at 2.0% now.
She's at 2.0% in IA, 2.3% in NH, 0.56% in NV, 1.0 in SC, and 1.0% in CA.
I think Buttigieg is the front runner for the moderate Democrat thats not Joe Biden.

(2,061 posts)It's just not happening. I do think she is running an excellent campaign outside of one fact... These are media driven races and she wasn't chosen. She doesn't seem to play the media excitement game. That is a part of it.
Every event, be it a debate or the She the People forum, supporters of every candidate have put her in the winners column. Yet no traction. To watch her is to love her.
