1. That's a great poll for Joe!

This should move him up 5-6% at RCP POLLS.

I am jealous for my preferred candidate.

the polls are what the polls are

4. Steyer will win Iowa at this rate! Maybe New Hampshire too.

This is a great poll for Steyer too!

I bet he will go up 5-6% at RCP POLLS now.

I am jealous for my preferred candidate.

As I always say...

The polls are what the polls are

6. Darn. I was really pumped for Steyer doing well on that.

Steyer is hands down the best billionaire in the race. Period.

This counts as a debate qualifying poll though, right?

10. WHAT! Morning Consult is not a qualifying poll for the debates??!!

Why? It's a great poll. Possibly the single best online panel poll.

It's always been a great poll for Joe!

What does the DNC have against this stellar B- rated online poll?

11. I do not rate it that highly, it is not as bad as HarrisX and Change Research, but its not

top tier for me. Just my tuppence. I am sure some candidates' supporters will take issue because it favours their preferred choice, and others will agree with me as they do not like the results. Some of the polls I think are the best are not ones that Pete is doing great in. I try to be objective. I get stick from most all groups on many things, so I think I am doing something right, lolol.

24. He will be helpful in President Warren's administration...

I see him as a very good guy, smart, a rich guy who knows Trumpy and has a social conscience.

7. populism...

and the idea that candidates shouldn't take money from big donors is going to lead to only billionaires being able to win the presidency. I'm not sure that's how people saw it.

8. Absolutely. Money talks.

Its all about the moo lah lah, baby!

If you can't get money from the rich donor class, you don't have a chance to become President any more, you are so right!

Yeah, that hurts, but the truth hurts.

Right?

16. That's not what I'm saying though.

The villainization of using big donors is making these guys that "self-fund" look better. That's the wrong direction. Trump used it to make people think he was his own man and would fight corruption by "not needing" big donor money. Steyer has been able to propel himself into the debates and now into the 3rd tier of candidates (the limit to viability imo) just by pouring his money into it.

I think that being able to use PACs and draw in big money is an equalizer to billionaires just being able to outspend other campaigns. I'm not so sure we need to be in a rush to get rid of it.

21. I think you are correct. It would lead to only the rich being able to run for president and other

offices. I believe those who give to pacs should be identified in FEC filings...that would help in this matter.

If you pick a candidate that you trust to not be corrupt, you can trust them to not give quid pro quoes in exchange for big donations.

How else have corporations and wealthy feathered their nests so well the last 40 years? By coincidence?

was after decades in the Senate...yet he took donations.

"Very concerning..."

(but I certainly won't pretend it's 'disqualifying'... that would be far too absurd for even my cat to accept as anything other than more nip-in-a-sock)

13. He's obviously on the move with the voters

Canít help but think some of his rise in the polls has to do with what has happened in northern Syria. Itís unnerving to most Americans. Those in the military have leaned towards dotard and other repubs...not so much now... just my thoughts

Not that Biden, or the top five candidates, are concerned about qualifying.
