bought up many, many domain names that were related to the name, related to the slogans, and variations and sarcastic variations, and had all of those domains send viewers to the main campaign site.

That was the first time (almost 20 yrs ago) I had heard of such a tactic (of opponents creating scam or trolling websites, and proactively addressing the problem.) I have read countless examples both for political campaigns, and for businesses. Trump former web-social media guy - now campaign manager is sold as some kind of genius. Parscale, clearly, is the opposite of that.
