Tweet from former HRC advisor and former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Philippe Reines, about an hour ago, backing up Biden's response to Merle Gorman:

He lied about supporting Warren. He lied about watching MSNBC. He mainlines pure right wing poison right into his veins.

pretty well.
I think he struck the right balance, especially since he was righteously angry at the false representation.

(16,113 posts)It's a fair question, since nothing in the posted article supports it. When did asking for evidence become a bad thing?

(297,178 posts)the board who the liar is.. I don't buy that anyone needs "proof".. The majority can see plainly who Merle is.. it's just a few who are trying to protect him.

(16,113 posts)Ive now read two articles that completely fail to validate any of Raines claims.
Clearly, this guy doesnt like Biden, but nothing in either story supports any other claim.

(7,700 posts)In the video of the interaction posted on Twitter by Sunrise Thursday afternoon, Biden appears confused about Zichal's connections to the natural gas industry, protesting that the adviser "worked for us in the administration."
"No, no, I know," the Sunrise activist patiently explains as Biden grabs him by the shoulders. "But she also worked"
"If you look at my record," Biden begins, "look at my record. Just look at my record."

(51,585 posts)three generations of Dems sat around the table and I stated, "I think a Biden/Harris ticket would be a good idea". They all agreed now that I had mentioned it. I have always favored the Dem primary candidate that agreed with my personal view about what is best for most people in the country and is fair to them. This year, like most Dem voters, I want someone who will beat "-1". Two things happened this week that have made me declare who I support with confidence. When I go with my gut instinct my decision is usually positively verified. This week Harris declared she is no longer running. I still believe that America isn't really ready for a female POTUS just like they aren't ready for socialism (my parents mentioned this 4 years ago and I still agree). Biden will be able to get the respect from our allies quickly and he showed that he won't take any BS today. Also, he mentioned that Harris has a great future and could be a VP. Most of America would feel safe with him and people crave normalcy again. She would be the asset he could use to put him over the top.
I know I may get crap for this from some, but fuck it. That is my opinion.
