I have a concern about Joe and Hunter

Obviously Trump wants to use Hunter's drug abuse history.
I don't know how Hunter is currently doing ,but it worries me.
Hunter lived through horrible childhood trauma losing his mother and sister and being injured himslelf.
Joe has lost his first wife and now two of their three children.

We are going to be up for a year of Trump attacking Hunter at rallies.

I think his strategy was to hurt Joe where he is most vulnerable and make him want to drop out .

It also may be to send Hunter to his drugs.

I am really worried about parent and son.

We don't need a chance of a tragedy.

I am supporting Joe as my first choice, but I am really scared

I just heard a clip of a Trumper screaming "Your son is a crack head" at a Biden rally.

How do we shut Trump up?

If Trump were to go on a debate stage and start the crack head stuff,I think he should be told to shut up by the moderator.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

... I had the audacity to suggest they were obviously right to have been concerned since Trump did indeed win, and that maybe we should have tried to reassure them rather than dismiss them as Republican trolls(!) -- and so I got dissed by some here for apparently doing a "ha ha told you so" happy dance. Because, sure, that made sense.

I remember those who made the dismissive posts, as well as those who said they planned to rub our “victory” in the faces of those who voted for the scum all.

I was concerned then too, but I never said it other than once lol. Tired of the shoutdown that ensued.

Trump fights dirty and pushes a lot of buttons, but I think Joe is prepared for that and will be able to counteract any below the belt attacks. This will be a rough time for Hunter and as such, will affect his parents as well. I am confident that they will survive it. Trump probably will not.

...Cult leaders are one-trick phonies: Never apologize, always out-accuse, get as far as you can and don’t get cut...So how do you cut them?
By exposing their one-trick: Never apologize, always accuse. Pretend to be infallible and thus become incorrigible.
How would they respond? More of the same, since it’s all they know. Their responses will confirm your accusation, so don’t let up; don’t get distracted. Control the debate and keep it focused on their one trick.
Of course, they won’t back down. They’ll just deny, deflect, never apologize, always accuse, saying in so many words, “no, you’re the one who never apologizes and always accuses.” To which you respond “there he goes again.” Over and over, never following their lead into the weeds and distractions...

they can NOT change NO MATTER what they do, that they worry about a murderous dictator shutting down our power grid on election day, thus killing the internet and the counting of votes.

where there are moderators and real pushback. And .. were he to be so foolish, there would be an immediate price. That kind of stuff happens at his rallies .. where no one else has the microphone .. and no one in the audience is crying "shame." ... about how to combat "swift boat/e-mail" attacks.

A non-negotiable is that the candidate must not be shaken by them. This does not mean the candidate must not react emotionally. Maybe Biden's type of "liar" response will work. Goodness knows Kerry's ignore it and Hillary's humor didn't do the job.

But beyond that, we have to get smart. I, too, dread the senate trial. As CNN's "All the President's Lies" pointed out, merely repeating a lie enough times, even in the service of debunking it, gives it credibility.

You can't just not answer questions. So I have an idea:

On the relevant web site (maybe more than one if we're talking post-primary - candidate's, DNC's, etc.) you post an very detailed answer to every possible question. Then, in language crafted by people more talented than I, you respond to a question by saying that you don't want to give credibility to lies by spending time on them. You don't want the lies to take over this speech (or whatever). Please go to xxxxxx.org to get your answers.

That single news source would be kept up to date to address every conceivable attack.

What do you think?

(and with each day, I'm more convinced he probably will be), his age (mental acuity) and son will be popular points of attack against him. I'm concerned about Hunter, too. Certainly, it's not fair, but I hope Joe has smart people working on effective responses other than "Come on, man!" when asked.

Hopefully, all the bad stuff is out there. Since he'sa potential weak spot for Joe, rest assured the media will be digging hard to find more dirt.

Trump and the Republicans going after Hunter Biden is a line they will regret crossing.

This is going after Joe's family and making the contest personal. The wrong thing to do against someone like Joe. By going after his surviving son, Trump and the Republicans will turn Joe from a sharply spoken candidate into a protective enraged father who will go all out to protect his family. Definitely not someone that any sane person wants to face. Not only will Joe vigorously defend Hunter, he'll focus all his rage on Trump and the Republicans who aid him. This is going to fuel Joe's drive to dismantle everything Trump, and he's not going to stop until Trump is lying in the ditch, begging for the mercy he'll never get from Joe. Just the full measure of justice, both legal and Karmic
