Bernie Sanders PLUNGES!!!

(it only seems fair that, if any upward movement is "SURGING", then any downward movement is equally dramatic...)

New Quinnipiac Poll
Biden 30% +1
Warren 17% +2
Sanders 16% -1
Buttigieg 9%
Bloomberg 7% +2

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Democratic Primary for President

In the Democratic primary race for president, former Vice President Joe Biden leads the field with 30 percent of the vote among Democratic voters and independent voters who lean Democratic. Biden is followed by Sen. Elizabeth Warren with 17 percent, Sen. Bernie Sanders with 16 percent, and South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg with 9 percent. Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has 7 percent, while businessman Andrew Yang and Sen. Amy Klobuchar get 3 percent each. No other candidate tops 2 percent.

There is still a lot of room for movement in the Democratic primary as 61 percent say they might change their mind, while 38 percent say their mind is made up.

Joe Biden also comes out on top when Democratic voters and independent voters who lean Democratic are asked how likely it is that each of the top Democratic candidates would win against Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election. For Biden, 80 percent say that it is very or somewhat likely that he would win against Trump in 2020, and 17 percent say not so likely or not likely at all. For both Sanders and Warren, 60 percent say very or somewhat likely. However, Bloomberg and Buttigieg did not fare as well on the electability question, as 50 percent said very or somewhat likely for Bloomberg, and 43 percent said very or somewhat likely for Buttigieg. Breaking down those numbers a little further, Biden receives the highest percentage of Democratic and Democratic leaning voters saying very likely with 35 percent, while Buttigieg has the lowest with only 11 percent.

From December 11 - 15, Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,390 self-identified registered voters nationwide with a margin of error of +/- 2.6 percentage points. The survey includes 567 Democratic voters and independent voters who lean Democratic with a margin of error of +/- 4.1 percentage points.

Along with Warren.

While Bernie is still virtually guaranteed to remain the undisputed leader despite the above facts, he might have to settle for a VP position on the Warren/Sanders ticket.
