Sanders brings 'End Corporate Greed' bus tour to NH

<snip>

"Sen. Bernie Sanders is crisscrossing New Hampshire as he pushes to become the Democratic nominee for president. The first-in-the-nation primary is now less than two months away. Our Adam Sullivan caught up with the candidate at an event in the Upper Valley.

Sanders began his "End Corporate Greed" tour in West Lebanon, New Hampshire. It is his 13th visit to the state this election cycle as the New Hampshire primary quickly approaches.

"We have a corrupt political system," Sanders said.

It's a stump speech Sanders knows well, and he says his record of fighting for working-class Americans speaks for itself. But now, Sanders, who is in the midst of his second presidential campaign, sprinkles in a little humor.

"We will have at least one old white guy but I don't know how many others," he said."

Citing Joe Biden's Troubling Voting Record, Bernie Sanders Warns 'My God... Trump Will Eat His Lunch'

"The Vermont senator said defeating Trump in 2020 will require "ideas that are going to excite and energize millions of people who right now are not particularly active in politics, and who may not vote at all."

He said the same thing in 2016. His staying in the race would excite voters and lead to higher turnout in the GE.

"To suggest we don’t fight this out to the end would be, I think, a very bad mistake. People want to become engaged in the political process by having vigorous primary and caucus process. I think we open up the possibility of having a large voter turnout in November. That is exactly what we need,” Sanders said.

“A low voter turnout, somebody like a Trump can win. High voter turnout, the Democratic candidate will win,” he said, referring to Donald Trump, the front-runner in the race to pick the Republican nominee for the November presidential election."
