I think it would be a real power move

...for Joe Biden to announce he would not campaign while the Senate is holding the impeachment trial. It would be true leadership and sportsmanship and might even force a total boycott on campaign events by others. Yeah, I support Warren but this is about Democrats showing fair play and class. Sure wouldn't hurt to have sympathetic coverage from the press!

Trump still campaigning and holding rallies. Not sure if that would be helpful to the Democrats or not.

Suppose you were undecided and watched the Mango Madman throwing a Klan/Nazi rally DURING his impeachment trial and contrasted it with the Democratic frontrunner sitting out a chance for an advantage he saw as unfair...It should give a warm fuzzy feeling towards all democrats especially if you could coordinate press coverage so Joe cites fairness and all the senators at trial should express they are grateful but NOT surprised...

8. I think that would be a mistake. The Democratic Party is bigger than impeachment.

If all America sees on TV is impeachment, it will aggravate partisanship to new levels, and intrenched parisanship may prove to be lethal in the Generals.

The news coverage of the trial is sure to overwhelm the narrative. I would take the opposite direction: campaign on issues other than impeachment. There are plenty of those, and that will demonstrate exactly what I said in the header: the Democratic Party is bigger than impeachment. It's bigger than Trump, bigger than the media, bigger than the Republican Party. And classier.

I see nothing wrong with campaigning during impeachment/trial events. That includes candidates, their staff, volunteers and supporters.

She should resign from the Senate if she wanted to spend time on the campaign trail. What's Joe supposed to do? Sit and home and watch TV all day?
