Biden: Impeachment hasn't 'shaken my faith' in working with Republicans

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-election/biden-impeachment-hasn-t-shaken-my-faith-working-republicans-n1128556

That headline was a big negative for me, but then I realized that it was a bit misleading. The actual article says this:

Impeachment "hasn't shaken my faith in being able to work with at least" some Republicans, Biden told "TODAY" show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie in an interview before Monday's Iowa caucuses.

That's not as bad as what the headline implies. I supposed he might be able to find one or two.

Then he added a statement that made me laugh and say "no shit!"

"I think you're going to see the world change with Trump gone," Biden added.

1. It's called politics, and like it or not working together is something Americans want

Joe knows!

I'm struggling a bit with this aspect of him but realizing it's also special that he still attempts to rise above the fray.

5. What good is it for Joe to rise above the fray when the other side won't?

He should actually be calling them out, by now he must know that working with republicans is nothing but a fantasy, something that runs around his mind but it does not conform with reality.

9. The GOP could uncorrupt themselves and rise to join us, but no way should we stoop to their level!

Meeting in the middle means everyone being only partly corrupt, mean-spirited, dishonest, and hypocritical.

No, I'm not interested it that.

Biden is delusional when it comes to Repukes. Just because he is personal friends with some of them, he thinks he can work with them, but they won’t hesitate to stab him in the back

4. This is very delusional. The impeachment should be a cause to make you understand that

there is no negotiating with republicans, it is a fantasy that may be carrying in Joe's mind from the 1960's when there were some patriotic republicans who truly loved their country, that is not the case with the current republican party, most of them are traitors.

I wish he would stop saying that, if he is saying it to try to get some republican votes? That is not going to happen, it is part of the fantasy that he can negotiate with "Mitch" and the other republicans.

In 2018 midterm when he reached across the aisle in Benton Harbor Michigan to praise Fred Upton (R) the incumbent who backed dismantling Obamacare.
Upton won. Biden earned $200,000 for his appearance (in support of
Littlejohn (D))

6. Did he sleepwalk through Obama's presidency?

Did he not hear about McConnell's 'one-term president' meeting the night of Obama's inauguration? Was he not aware of eight years of obstruction and stonewalling? This is a foolish statement.
