My unsolicited advice to Biden/Klobuchar.

Biden needs to change the subject away from his poor performance in Iowa and his sinking poll numbers in New Hampshire.
He needs something to get the people in New Hampshire and elsewhere to take notice and the media to have something new and positive to talk about him.
Klobuchar needed more than a fifth place in Iowa as the next door Minnesota neighbor.
Her poll numbers in the next three contests are low.
Let’s face it, she is not going to get the nomination.

So, my idea.
They hold a joint news conference this weekend.
Amy drops out and endorses Joe who then announces that Amy will be his running mate.
Suddenly, Joe has another group of fund raisers and staff working for him.
He has Amy stumping for him.
And she can talk about being the country’s first female VP (for a man that will soon be 80).

So Biden and Klobuchar supporters tell me the down side and why it’s a bad idea.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

many might find it offensive that you direct this to Klobuchar while ignoring that Warren has problems too going forward. All three have $$ problems.

Amy Klobuchar put out a statement that she isn't interested in any such idea and that she wants to be President of The United State. Her campaign shut this idea down a few weeks ago.

Biden needs something that Klobuchar can’t give him. A rationale for his campaign. Fear of Trump is not a rationale. Have you talked to regular people about Biden? There are few true supporters. Most that support him do so because he can “beat Trump.” It’s completely uninspiring and the results show it.

It may already be starting to crumble. There's no policy, no real support, no energy.
Just "he can beat trump" - which I actually think is completely false: in a 1:1 he's going to get his clock cleaned.

So now, instead of policy and ideas on actually things - it's how do we prop him up and how many babies can he kiss? Seriously?

There ARE real Biden supporters though. They hearken back to the mystical "good old days" of Obama, etc. And it's just not that same time in history anymore. Climate change, inequality, healthcare - and Biden's just not leading on any of them.

She needs to decide who she wants to be President and who she thinks she can most help (as either a surrogate or VP).

And his donors are running away from him because he's still dropping, and it will continue . I also think it'll become a smaller group soon as the numbers show how badly some are failing now to show anything other than they;re losing support from losing. Pete, Bernie and Warren will be in this race while the rest will not be relevant , other than shopping for their support from the final three left. I would also support Amy as a VP , but she would be wise and choose Pete or Warren over Biden. Joe's hurting himself by mistakes , and his policies , and two age groups have already left him for others because of his policies and poor speaking performances.

This would be pretty radical but I don't think Amy would go for it. She has basically no chance of being the nominee though unless something crazy happens.

I do wish something crazy would happen to shake us into the urgency of what's ahead. I am fearful.

Personally, I think that Biden should keep his cool, ignore the early results, and focus on South Carolina (which he must win to remain viable). There's plenty of time for Joe to pick up a ton of delegates in this primary. It's his poor fundraising that concerns me most about his campaign.

Which is little to none. Biden isn’t dropping out before Super Tuesday.

Now, if his numbers collapsed and he quit, then AMY is a moderate and stands to benefit from his withdrawal. Warren still needs to get through Bernie. And she is reluctant to attack him.
