Biden is trailing Sanders by less than you might think: new California poll

https://www.rawstory.com/2020/02/biden-is-trailing-sanders-by-less-than-you-might-think-new-california-poll/

Snip//

While recent surveys have consistently found Bernie Sanders winning in the Golden State, his lead may not be as big as some might think.A new poll released by Monmouth University on Thursday found 24% of likely California Democratic primary voters supporting Sanders, compared to 17% for former Vice President Joe Biden. The 7-point gap is far narrower than the 18-point lead the Public Policy Institute of California recorded Sanders having on Tuesday.

I think we are going to see an uptick in Biden's support. Bernie's lead is soft IMHO.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I feel like I’m seeing and hearing Bloomberg ads every single commercial break here in California. Steyer’s in there once in awhile. As for the other candidates, including Sanders, I’ve not seen nor heard much if anything.

Sanders is well-regraded in California, especially in the Bay Area. Almost all my friends are for him. I’m less. But I think he’ll do just fine.

As of mid-February, Sanders has 22 offices and 105 staff in the state, while Biden has just one office and at least 20 paid staff members. Michael Bloomberg has a larger footprint with about 20 offices in the state and 400 paid California staff members. Elizabeth Warren has three offices and more than 48 paid workers.

Whoever wins is who wins. This whole “70% don’t want him, he needs X to count, etc.” never existed when Biden was the front runner. It’s just the latest thing against Sanders.

I just hope Buttigieg and Warren do well before then.

The Bloomberg effect will be somewhat reduced after Tues debate and also many "non-Bernie" Dems are freaking out about the possibility of Sanders actually winning this thing so they are realizing they need to coalesce on a single candidate and that candidate is most likely Biden.

That will propel him into Super Tuesday and if he does well there then most of the non-Bernie Dems will jump on the Biden bandwagon.

Bloomberg is the wildcard here and its hard to say how much effect he will have.

Polls are skewed by Russian mind control and deliberate GOP mis-votes to select our weakest candidate. Dictators want Trump to win, and they want his opponent to be unelectable and weak. That's how they defeat American democracy.

Trump-Putin want a weak Democrat or a divided Democratic Party. Bernie is a wedge every year. His payoff? Socialism in America, just like the old USSR. Democrats will be stronger if we actually fight each other and have a victor. Liz Warren senses this, I think. We need a fighter!

Joe and Liz are on the upswing, the rest are not at this moment in time. Bernie has peaked with no upside remaining in my view. Mike, Tom, we have nothing in common with these two. Amy, Pete ... they got into it the other night. Pete's the future. Amy is a solid VP, but I doubt she's moving up in the presidential race from here.

We could well get a brokered convention. No one can decide anything. Internal polling will weigh heavy.
