Not surprising: Bloomberg's claim abut his taxes was false

snip
Former New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg lied on Wednesday night when he said during the Democratic debate in Las Vegas that he had "put out" his "tax return every year for 12 years in City Hall."

I have the proverbial receipts for this assertion, in the form of audio files and extensive reporting from my years covering him as a reporter at WNYC, New York's largest public radio station.

Just like with his NDAs and sexist comments. The question is not what would the cultists say. It's what would the undecided voters we need to win the election say. Probably something like "well Bloomberg is a sexist and has NDAs too" and "he doesn't release his taxes either, so might as well vote for trump." Yeah that would be real, real funny.

Perhpas the women who fueled the blue wave in 2018 wouldn't be so amused, however. trump's behavior is a large part of what got them involved. Nominating someone like Bloomberg isn't going to do it for them in 2020.

I’m done standing on principles this election cycle. Which is why I’ll vote for Bernie if he is the nom - even though I can’t stand him.

Trump lies every time he opens his mouth so I don’t care if our candidates lie too.

What are the Cult going to do? Complain he’s a liar?

Really just a rationalization. Bloomberg is lying to DEMOCRATIC voters. That's not ok with me but seesm to be with the Blomberg apologists.

I don’t even have a candidate I’m backing yet and won’t until I have to vote in the NY primary. By then I am sure the field will have winnowed.

I will vote for who I believe has the best chance of beating Trump - not who has the best chance of being the D nominee. I have no idea who that will be yet, but I don’t believe Bernie has a shot in hell.

Since Bloomberg doesn't lead in any polls, and the groups we have to have in 2020 suh as women angry about drumpf, youger voters and POC, are the ones he has harmed. Not the best way to crank up turnout and get rid of drumpf.

He either misled or told outright falsehoods about his positions on Obamacare, his past comments about women and his past policies. He needs to be vetted and not have people just buy everything his ads say.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
