So this SEC letter isn't good

Individuals exceeding limits and foreign campaign contributions cited. It's only 510 pages long

1. Holy crap. There are donors with hundreds and hundreds of small donations...

That really puts all Bernie's donation numbers into perspective.

4. You

can claim to have an average contribution on $27 if you get big donors to make hundreds of donations of that size instead of one big one.

More ways to mislead.

5. Wow. BS campaign - Either oblivious, or deliberately misleading.

Both are quite bad for someone who wants to pretend to be a leader.

6. The "Bernie 2020" campaign has got some explaining to do!

So many ILLEGAL CONTRIBUTIONS!

FIVE HUNDRED AND TEN PAGES LONG!!!! OMFG!!

If they're having this much trouble running a law-abiding campaign (ie: within SEC limits and other election laws) that certainly does not give ME any confidence that they would be able to run an entire country.

This is bad. Very bad. Very bad indeed.

They should be humiliated and ashamed of themselves. (But I doubt they are.)

I'll wait for the excuses to pour in on this thread. It should be fun to watch.

8. Shadow group provides Sanders super PAC support he scorns

WASHINGTON (AP) — Bernie Sanders says he doesn’t want a super PAC. Instead, he has Our Revolution, a nonprofit political organization he founded that functions much the same as one.

Like a super PAC, which is shorthand for super political action committee, Our Revolution can raise unlimited sums from wealthy patrons that dwarf the limits faced by candidates and conventional PACs. Unlike a super PAC, however, the group doesn’t have to disclose its donors — a stream of revenue commonly referred to as “dark money.”

Now, with less than one month to go before the Iowa caucuses, Our Revolution appears to be skirting campaign finance law, which forbids groups founded by federal candidates and officeholders from using large donations to finance federal election activity, including Sanders’ 2020 bid. https://apnews.com/345bbd1af529cfb1e41305fa3ab1e604
