Daily Kos: Warren: 'Who funded Lindsey Graham's campaign?' That would be Republican Mike Bloomberg

Former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg is clearly running to represent the wrong party, and Sen. Elizabeth Warren came with facts to back that up at Tuesday night’s Democratic presidential debate. During the first hour of the debate, she listed Republican legislators Bloomberg shelled out big bucks to support, including Sen. Lindsey Graham.

”Let’s think of it this way. We’re here in Charleston, and you know who is going to be in Charleston later this week, is Donald Trump,” Warren said. “He’s going to be here to raise money for his buddy Senator Lindsey Graham.” She then asked: “Who funded Lindsey Graham’s campaign for re-election last time? It was Mayor Bloomberg.”

Bloomberg donated $250,000 to a PAC backing Graham in 2014, and two years later, he gave $11.7 million to back Republican incumbent Sen. Pat Toomey’s reelection instead of challenger and policy expert Katie McGinty, according to The New York Times. Warren called the challenger “terrific.” “She lost by a single point,” the Massachusetts senator said, adding another name to the list of Republicans Bloomberg supported.

“In 2012, he scooped in to try to defend another Republican senator against a woman challenger. That was me,” Warren said. “It didn’t work, but he tried hard.”

Lindsey Graham is a loathsome human being and he's actively helping Trump destroy America. He just got Hunter Biden's financial records from the Treasury.

If this is true, and I see no reason to believe it isn't, then a credible case can be made that Bloomberg is merely seeking the nomination of our party because Trump has the nomination of his party sewn up.

The reason that Russiapublicans eliminated their own primaries is so that Rs can vote in open primaries to pick the opponent for Trump. I don't think they will vote for Bloomberg.

I would be much happier to see Warren going after Trump, every day. There may be some Repugs who will defy party instructions and not vote in open primaries, if they can be made to see just how destructive trumPutin is.

We need someone with the brains and courage to speak the truth, to counteract the baloney from some of her fellow candidates. AND to stand up to the simpletons we have in the Senate.
I will support her on Super Tuesday...and hope she comes in on top.

I'd like to see a Warren/ Buttigieg ticket. She has the experience, he has the capability to learn and take over the position of VP with honor and integrity.
