(146,288 posts)She beat Bernie Sanders by 4 million votes.
The national election was interfered with and voters in three important states cast their votes to Jill Stein and Gary Johnson. More than enough voted for those two in those three states to flip the electoral college vote.
Had you been here, you would have learned that after the election.

(2,412 posts)Lets let the primaries play out. I support Warren and Sanders and send them money every month. Lets not rely on conventional wisdom. We are living in interesting times which may require new solutions. Lets focus on those solutions and stop fighting. I want the party to coalesce and tell the public how they will make a difference for your average American.

(92,174 posts)either voting third party or not voting made sure of that
and the ONE candidate running today who hired Jill Stein supporter Briahna Joy Gray, and Hillary hating David Sirota and Nina Turner, how convenient to gloss over the undercuting that occurred in the general election, by some of the very people who are now part of the Sanders campaign

(11,330 posts)what I do know is that Sanders loves socialists dictators that killed hundreds of thousands of people
Sanders says suppression of freedom of the press is fine when it is done by a socialist dictator.
Sanders says he doesn't need democratic establishment...which is only a true statement if he plans on being a dictator.

(14,565 posts)He was never going to resign or be thrown out. I realized I wasn't making friends around here by consistently pointing out the immense powers of a president whose party had been in power only one term, but it needed to be said. I always insisted his approval rating would rise steadily and not be stuck in 37% level like so many believed from late 2017.
A socialist is not going to win a national election in this country. That is very easy to understand if you experienced Florida 2018 with Andrew Gillum rejected by 46% of the electorate as too liberal for the state, during an incredibly pro-blue cycle.
Translate that to the key midwestern states and their ideological split that basically mirrors the nation itself.
It is not a winning formula. Bernie could only win if Trump's approval dropped a few points from where it is now. Not impossible given the virus but unwise to bank on that type of thing or handicap the race under the assumption.
Bernie is still the favorite for the Democratic nomination. I always keep the big picture in mind instead of overreacting to today. I've never understood the notion of heavily weighing today. When I lived in Las Vegas as a sports bettor for 24 years the only guys who allowed today to shape opinion were the ones leaving town broke on a bus.
