Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumI went too far in my responses to Gravitycollapse.
In the post about the horrid tweet about Biden.
I was incandescently furious over that tweet. And I took my response too far. I do not believe that Gravitycollapse supported that tweet. I do not believe that it is indicative of the average Sanders supporter. I apologize to Gravitycollapse and to every Sanders supporter on here for my reaction towards them.

(8,155 posts)I got really mad and should have let it go. But I made things worse rather than just seeing the big picture and the importance of us working together.

(4,446 posts)And we'll get to hear him whine for months about how unfair the election was, and we'll get to see it hurt him worse when the election is certified, and if it's necessary, we'll see the Secret Service drag the worst president in United States history bodily out of the White House. On that day, we'll be one big happy family.

(13,920 posts)That other thread was start to finish a primer in how to lose the general election no matter which of our candidates is given the nomination.
This thread is hopefully an example of how we stop that from happening.
I'm all for that.

(17,984 posts)As Democrats we are brave enough to admit we went too far in the heat of the moment.
Trump and Republicans thrive on hate and chaos. But Democrats act like a family. Argue like crazy but then come together to win!
I admit the other post was upsetting, but this thread made up for that.
Thanks for the top post and the following!

(5,969 posts)It's understandable to get upset about deliberate cruelty like this and to let the emotions take over. It was the lowest kind of attack one could think of. And from what I've read so far of the other thread, there was nothing wrong about what Gravitycollapse said.
At first, I was shocked as well seeing close to 3000 likes for such a despicable sentiment. But the reactions in that Twitter thread are overwhelmingly condemning her and they seem to come from all types of supporters. She's clearly a pos but I'm confident this doesn't represent BS' supporters at all despite the few bad apples.

(34 posts)First I want to be upfront. I did not see the tweet you are referring to. This is a good thing because by the sound of it, it would have upset me.
Second I am rooting for Sanders to win. However, it really bothers me when people make prognostications that are unfounded or have not come to fruition.
Why say it is over and put other candidates down? I'm addressing this to all primary candidate supporters.
I would love to see comments like your candidate did awesome tonight. It's going to be a good contest. Can't wait to see what the next state brings. This will make our nominee ready to fight.
Remember who is the enemy. It's definitely not any of our candidates.
I come here for my sanity. Y"all are truly my lifeline. Please be aware of how many people rely on this site to make it through these dark days.
