Joe BidenCongratulations to our presumptive Democratic nominee, Joe Biden!

Wed Mar 4, 2020, 03:46 AM

Commenting on Biden's speech tonight, Brit Hume on Fox implied that Joe

is becoming "non compus mentus" or "senile", and that in giving a speech Joe might not know where he is.
There seemed to have been a gaffe, which I didn't notice, in Joe's speech.

The usual cast of Fox pundits was with Hume, and some, including Juan, Dana and ......Wallace seemed startled at Hume's words, but didn't protest too much.
Did anyone else see and hear that?

I don't watch Fox much, but sometimes flip around the channels when MSNBC or CNN are dullish.

11. EXACTLY!!!

They’ve been pushing both the “Biden is senile & losing his mind” myth as well as the conspiracy theory Biden is this deeply corrupt part of the evil & mysterious DEEP STATE run by President Obama that’s out to take down the best POTUS since Abraham Lincoln...Their patriotic DEAR LEADER TRUMP!

...That channel & practically everyone on it are such pathetic Orange Menace ass kissers I don’t know how they they can live with themselves!!!

...I’m forced to endure watching FOX “News” while at my in-laws...And I swear it doesn’t matter what time of day I’m over there the level of ABSURDITIES flowing from any given pundit’s mouth is so over the top one would just assume it was an SNL skit or parody of some type!!
..But the sad fact is these FOX “News” host are part of a VERY REAL BRAIN WASHED CULT OF TENS OF MILLIONS of Americans & they truly believe every disgustingly sick & stupid thing they’re saying or they’re knowingly lying to their inFOXicated TRUMP CULT audience!!

...I can’t believe so many people have willfully allowed themselves to be taken so far outside the realm of reality all in the effort to protect a narcissistic POS who don’t give a squirt of piss on a Russian hotel bed about them or our country!?!?

4. Rightwingers are certain to make that a theme

Keep saying it and one example is all they need to pounce.

I thought Biden sounded great tonight. He does fine in short sound bytes. He needs to keep that in mind during debates. Biden has trouble nowadays when he tries to squeeze too much into one long response. Often there is one segment that gives him trouble. Normally it requires remembering a name or a bill or some statistic.

But we know the difference between right and wrong, between decency and vile vulgar malignant narcissism, between patriotism and treason.

the other day. He was totally out of it and couldn't stay awake.
What a sad excuse for leadership.

7. I believe it was because his wife and sister changed sides

and when he started to introduce them he moved his arm to one side and the other introducing the wrong one calling his wife is sister and vice versa.
He caught it immediately and said oh you switched sides! They all kind of laughed it off or through it.

It's a nothing burger.

9. You're likely correct; the Fox crowd alluded to something about wife & sister,

but I hadn't seen that occur. It must have been at the beginning of the speech, which I missed.

But the two people who rushed the dais with signs... What did the signs say? I saw it twice but couldn't make out what the signs were about.

I have no idea what connection they see with the campaign. The signs were “let dairy die”

long been senile. I still think that is why Ivanka came to Washington with Daddy - to babysit him.

16. They all get a little punch drunk at this stage

They have been traveling, greeting, speaking, on TV, debating, etc. forever. It is exhausting.

This is often when you see some simple mistakes that seem egregious but are easily explained by shear fatigue

I still here Magats refer to the time Obama misspoke about the number of states he had been to and that was 12 years ago. Does anyone really believe that Obama didn’t know how many states there are?

I give anyone a lot of leeway on what they say after an endless string of endless days on the road.

17. Thanks for your thoughtful post.

I’m one of those who always fears seeing Biden at the podium because when he shouts he does seem to slur his words. He may be exhausted, as I would be if in his shoes, so he needs to learn that sometimes it’s better to talk to the crowd slowly and deliberately, and not try to rally the crowd by shouting. Shouting is Sanders’ thing. Not Biden’s thing.
