before this election season goes any farther, and especially before we are in the GE race if Joe is the nominee...
Some probably already know, but Ive talked to quite a few well-informed voters who did not:

Edited/updated for clarification:
I'm dismayed that some have thought I was taking a "swing" at Joe for posting this. For heaven's sake, I have been a Joe fan for many years. I caucused for him in 2008, and it was my great thrill to shake his hand and tell him that at a rally in January here in Iowa before the February caucus. I posted it because I have encountered, from both sides on other boards and on FB, comments just as is mentioned in the subtitle that Joe exhibits signs of dementia. It's actually one of the Rs new lines of attack! It upsets me to no end to see those comments, born of ignorance (although the R comments are born of malice). There are many Dems who are not aware of this, IMO, heroic feature of Joes character. This article is something others might find useful in their encounters with ignorance going forward. Certainly no offense was intended, and I apologize if any was taken.

(130,865 posts)A non-stutterer might not notice when he appears to get caught on words as an adult, because he usually maneuvers out of those moments quickly and expertly. But on other occasions, like that night in Detroit, Bidens lingering stutter is hard to miss. He stuttersif slightlyon several sounds as we sit across from each other in his office. Before addressing the debate specifically, I mention what Ive just heard. I want to ask you, as, you know, a
stutterer to, uh, to a
stutterer. When you were
talking a couple minutes ago, it, it seemed to
my ear, my eye
did you have
trouble on s? Or on
m?
Biden looks down. He pivots to the distant past, telling me that the letter s was hard when he was a kid. But, you know, I havent stuttered in so long that its
hhhhard for me to remember the specific He pauses.'>>>

(13,037 posts)We have an Idiot running the country now whose mental capacity is that of a 10 year old. People need to stop focusing on nonsensical BS like this to try to knock him down.

(13,037 posts)the greatest US presidents. Not sure if many people know these 2 factoids so it's good to mention.
Bottom line people have nothing to gripe about Biden so they're doing the same thing the idiot does - pick on people's physical traits, something that bullies do. Malarky, as Joe would say, and come November together we'll give the bully what he deserves: his butt kicked out of the WH. We are Americans. We don't take attacks to democracy sitting down.

JFK his death left awful scars on this Country.
We have been on a Republican hate fest ever since Newt Gingrich! Now we have seen the worst in that party. Trump, McConnell , Barr and Graham. With lots of of help!

(32,757 posts)King George V was a stutterer. Lead the country thru WWII, was one of Churchills only true confidants in the darkest days of the war and was beloved by all. No one ever mentioned or focused on his stutter, it didnt matter to the people of England...considered the peoples king, the country was bereft when he passed.
Biden is gonna pull us out this mess were in, lets focus on that

(166 posts)I had a stutter too, and it still can hamper me when I go off script. I dont stutter now, but it can sometimes take an extra few seconds for the right word to get from my brain to my tongue.
It will and has been exploited, but Ive also seen Biden give some magnificent speeches over the years.
People have already forgotten his speech in this campaign about white nationalism because he followed it up with some Biden-Esque gaffes but I think hes refound his confidence.
Edited for spelling
