No other candidate reached the threshold so no delegates.
Not exactly the run away win Sanders would hope for.
The "canvass" period goes until April 3rd when final results will be posted.

(25,428 posts)The current portion of the estimated total vote in is 58%, mostly due to mail-in votes still being received and counted.

(15,693 posts)I dont remember Hillary not being called election night. She was!!! This is crazy that days later we dont have resolution. Not Iowa, but second worst state this primary. Perhaps send ballots out a month early with a due date of one week before the election. California needs to tighten up.

(10,972 posts)It was talked about last week. It was complained about by Trump. We watched the blue wave unfold in 2018 during it. Bernie gained a lot on Hillary during it.
But now that it is going slowly against Bernie it is the second worst.
I thought Democrats wanted all the votes counted, and people given greater voting access.
Heres a hint, Arizona will be the same way.

(6,226 posts)that Bernie is not a true Dem and it seems his base voters aren't either. His support is in the 30s. He did not grow his support.

(42,862 posts)Even in California, numbers like that are HUMILIATING!
The American voters are catching-on and realizing that he's not all he claims to be. They're no longer buying what he's selling.

(42,585 posts)day in 2018 flipped the results in favor of Democrats in a number of House districts.
Most states don't count votes that are mailed on or before election day but received after. By what magic process should California count ballots not yet received? Or should they make it harder to vote?

(8,614 posts)Joseph R. Biden 817,636 25.2%
Bernie Sanders 1,089,271 33.6%
BTW, there are still over 3 million votes yet to be counted. That 93% is misleading.

(44,228 posts)As long as a candidate gets 15% in a CD, they will be awarded a portion of the delegates in that CD.
Green Papers has the current CA delegate estimate at:
Sanders 218
Biden 165
Bloomberg 23
Warren 8
Pete 1
Bernie +53 net gain
I estimated +65 net gain a couple nights ago, but the results are tightening up as more votes are counted.
