Excellent response to a question about uniting behind the eventual nominee is at around the 25:00 mark....but the entire speech is good and worth a listen.

(7,277 posts)Beto proposals on education - teachers pay, forgiving debt after a number of years teaching, are right on point. The passion with which he talks about this fits the subject perfectly and he rejects vouchers. People snipe about a privileged man who married money? He has his kids in public schools.

(2,113 posts)He wasn't talking a lot of policy at first because he was talking to voters and listening, getting a feel for what is important to people, their ideas, etc. He is incredible at connecting the dots between a policy and what it actually looks like and the impact it has in the real world.
