was on Maddow's show last night. Dude named General Semonite...heads up the Army Corps of Engineers. Real straight-shooter can-do type...get my boys in there and we'll make it better as best and as fast as we can. Not this constant Trump clueless clusterfuck we got going.

https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow/watch/army-corps-of-engineers-gives-options-to-states-facing-covid-crush-81265733635

Semonite reminds me a lot of General Honore. You guys remember when Katrina hit New Orleans and Dubya was running around saying "you're doin' a heckava job, Brownie!" when that asshole had no idea WTF he was doing while tons of people were floundering and dying? And this Honore guy comes in and starts getting shit done on Day 1.

http://generalhonore.com/

Yeah, Semonite is like that. We spend damn near a trillion dollars every year on our military...let's put them to work in this crisis instead of sticking them in the desert along the border throwing rocks at cacti while waiting for the hordes of rapist Mexicans to invade the US.

So what’s your point at all.

We left this too old too white too male crap at the door months ago.
Joe is going to be president. He’s going to be a good and successful one

Your ageism is a moot point.

I may be naive but at least I am aware that the next president is going to be older than you want. Either you deal with it or you don’t. But that’s the reality and not just my reality.

It's so ridiculous - every time some politician (or celebrity, e.g., Oprah) is observed to be doing something with unusual competence or they made an inspiring speech or some damn thing, people go "OMG, he/she should run for president (or running mate)!" He has certainly shown good leadership and crisis-management skills, so he'd be a good fit for a high position. But electorally, he doesn't bring much to a D-ticket that would attract the voters we need in November. (I'm thinking swing voters in WI, MI, PA, OH, FL; women, Latinos, and African-Americans.) Honestly, it about makes me weep, waking up each morning to the disregard and disrespect a mature white man faces in this country. It's just awful. Why, I think I'd give a million bucks to be a black woman. They get all the breaks!

Please just realize what you sound like. It is ridiculous. The man gave his word he would choose a woman. That doesn't mean anyone who thinks he should keep his word thinks Sarah Palin is better than Mr. Roosevelt or Mr. Lincoln, and suggesting anyone thinks it does only makes you look like an idiot at best and at worst like some 'men's rights' type whose mask is slipping. Your position contains the unspoken premise that there's sure to be some white man out there who is better for the job than any woman, and Mr. Biden better find him before he saddles the ticket with somebody who lacks a penis, just for some silly thing like being a man who delivers on a pledge.

"From Bernie’s perspective, dropping out of a race once you have no chance of winning is peculiar behavior that can only be explained by the work of a hidden hand. For most politicians, though, it is actually standard operating procedure. Only Sanders seems to think the normal thing to do once voters have made clear they don’t want to nominate you is to continue campaigning anyway."

"When things are not called by their right names, what is said cannot make sense. When what is said does not make sense, what is planned cannot succeed. When plans do not succeed, people become uneasy. When people are uneasy, punishments do not fit crimes. When punishments do not fit crimes, people cannot know where to put hand or foot."

Vice President Biden has already said he's going to nominate a woman as a running mate. Whitmer is a good, hard-working governor who will rip Donald Trump into itsy-bitsy pieces on a daily basis, and she's a licensed attorney who can help us detrumpify the nation.

She's also young enough to serve eight years in the Oval Office after President Biden term-limits out.

I like Whitmer, but she isn't as ready as Cuomo, and isn't going to excite as many voters -

AND THE POINT IS TO DEFEAT TRUMP, FOR GOD SAKES!!!

and that means Biden has to abandon his promise to choose a female VP? Because of a crisis?
Surely, you have to realize how bad the insinuations from such a reasoning are.

Cuomo comes from a solid blue state. He won’t energize African Americans or Female voters or help attract progressives.

I suspect he likes being where he is, right now. He can certainly write his ticket if his continues in his leadership role on the CV-19 continues - like I think it will.

Every time someone steps up and shows leadership on a given day does not mean they should become president or VP.

Give it a break, please.
