Of all the time that we could have had an incompetent president

This is the time? With the Covid-19?

Throughout the discussions here, many of us, thinking of Sanders and Warren and others, stated that this is not the time for experimentations like all the free programs that they proposed.

That Sanders and his supporters are still peddling - what, exactly, his ego? - shows how defeating Trump is not their main goal.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

When the President is competent, these things never get to the headline making stage.

We'd read about it or see it on the news, CDC is tracking cases of exposure, some city blocks in lockdown, an airport closed. Scary stuff, but maybe far from home.

Who knows how many tragedies have been averted as a matter of routine by our competent Presidents?

Imagine if Trump were president for 9/11, for the financial crisis, for ebola...

As for the more progressive Sanders/Warren programs, none could possibly be enacted until next year anyway, and we don't know what the landscape will be then. But there is a point to be made that, if we had an MFA-style healthcare system, all the people losing their jobs wouldn't be worried about losing their health insurance.

He would have to move up at least 3 notches to qualify as merely "incompetent"...he is dangerous and he is reckless.

If we piled 300 DUers into an airliner and someone put me in the cockpit and told me to safely fly all you fine folks from Point A to Point B, I guarantee you that we would all crash and burn. Likewise, you put Trump in the Oval Office and tell him to get America safely from 2017 to 2021 and it was inevitable that we were all destined to crash and burn at some point.

It was only a matter of time. It is virtually impossible for any President to go 4 full years and not face some major crisis of some sort. We've basically been on auto-pilot for over 3 years now and we've already had some near misses because of his reckless piloting...but this time it looks like we have a big mountain dead ahead and there's no way to avoid it.

I now kinda know what some of the passengers on those 9/11 hijacked airliners musta felt like when they realized they were in deep shit and probably all doomed...and it ain't a good feeling at all. Not sure if we can last long enough before Biden can get into the cockpit and take control, so just in case not this is my suggestion...

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
