Honestly I'm pretty enthusiastic about the idea of a candidate who has never owned a share of stock

It's a kind of refreshing change.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

1. With 401(k) as our retirement, it's hard to avoid.

How does one not have some stock interest in most cases?

7. Having a President who hasn't owned stock makes it more

likely that the markets will operate by rules of ethics and disclosure. That helps 401K investments and the people that own them.

3. When the Senate switched its retirement accounts a few years ago he stopped saying that

Because technically his retirement account has index funds in it. But he's still never just "bought stock" and owned it.

5. True that...and he was never a millionaire while in Congress either. As I pointed out, he was going

sell his house to help pay for his son's cancer treatment when Pres. Obama intervened. I almost wrote something snarky but will resist!

6. I don't think insider trading laws

Applied to Congress and the Senate until the 90s.
