As Trump Bumbles, Biden Shows America What A Real President Could Do

From the article:

Under this concept, Americans would have access, if they choose, to Medicare when they turn 60, instead of when they turn 65. Medicare benefits would be provided to them as they are to current Medicare recipients. This would make Medicare available to a set of Americans who work hard and retire before they turn 65, or who would prefer to leave their employer plans, the public option, or other plans they access through the Affordable Care Act before they retire. It reflects the reality that, even after the current crisis ends, older Americans are likely to find it difficult to secure jobs.

Iíve also directed my team to develop a plan to forgive federal student debt relating to the cost of tuition currently held by low-income and middle-class people for undergraduate public colleges and universities, as well as private Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and private, underfunded Minority-Serving Institution (MSIs).

3. As Trump INTENTIONALLY bumbles...

The facade of ineptitude works well to cover up the intentional.

That's how Trump and Co. play their hand and the people. After all, we are dealing with a confidence man and a person with plenty of criminal and Russian ties, remember.

Though, it sounds better for him if people keep harping on incompetence. Willful neglect is a better term. What's in it for him and his cohorts? That answers the question and shifts this back to being responsible, not a character who plays the fool.

4. That could make for an inteesting debate.

Which is stronger in Trump, the incompetence or the malice? Or does one feed the other?

Could he feel so inferior that he loves making others suffer?

5. There is a lot more to it...

All he really has to be a professional at is similar to a carnival barker or P.T. Barnum. I don't how many people here have been the victim of a confidence man, (or should that be person, now?) but they are extremely apt at what it takes to get people to believe things about themselves that are not true and they will use whatever skills they have in order to portray that effectively to get what they want.

In other words, if you don't know he's a confidence man, you are the mark. That's a truism that applies to this.

I think the malice is just an aside. His contempt is usually obvious, but it also plays into his character: you're fired! I don't think his malice is anything more than, perhaps, an enjoyment of vanquishing people; other than that, he doesn't really care about his base or the country that much, methinks, to make that a priority. I would say control and grabbing power, (and other things) is his MO. That's where his success in taking the Presidency and connections to various interests that support him behind the scenes come into play. He is not so much as a fluke as an outcome, IMHO. That is what really indicates what a danger he represents to democracy now.

I have written a lot about this here, but I don't want to go into depth right now. If you do some research online, you can trace his history, read articles that explore Trump's "will to power" and his connections and relationships with organized crime, Russia and the GOP's intentions. It is rather detailed and complex subject.

I would end with a note: realty TV show host. That really says more than it might seem to. It is a tip off.

7. One key to understanding Trump, or any confidence person,

is to know that he succeeds only insofar as he can convince people that he will do what they want. And Trump, whatever his shortcoming, does know what people want to hear. He has no idea how to do what he promises, but he knows what his customers want.
