so

I like him very much also. He was my choice last time around, but I haven't decided this time. I realize DU isn't representative of the party (however much some would like to think so) but the level of vitriol is disheartening. I need to see some debates and primary results.

It puts the brakes on the type of stuff that happened in 2016. A candidate's page should be safe refuge for people supporting that candidate, other people should not come there seeking to disrupt. I really like the change.

If you want to post in a candidate forum you have to change your preference in Democratic Primaries and wait 7 days.

You are not currently permitted to post in this Group

To post in this group, you must change your candidate preference to Bernie Sanders and wait seven days.
In order to post in a 2020 Democratic presidential primary candidate's group, you must first set that candidate as your preference.
Since you have already set a preference, changing your preference now will start a seven day waiting period, after which you will be able to post in this group. (Changing your preference now will not prevent you from posting in the Democratic Primaries forum.)

I hope this clears it up.

All of the individual candidate groups have similar rules.

My guess is this is the result of having experience of 3 contested democratic primary races and creating rules to prevent shenanigans.
