Mind blowing, intelligent discourse between Pete Buttigieg and Rachel Maddow. WOW.

I'm nearly overwhelmed. For a man so fresh into national politics, Mayor Pete is beyond impressive.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I love hearing intelligent people have a discussion without trying to one-up each other. The way they make coming up with clear and succinct explanations look easy is so graceful.

At first, I thought her question was a bit indelicate. Essentially, it was, "I came out earlier so what took you so long?" But he was GREAT!

Yes, he's beyond impressive!

Rachel's question was much more nuanced and personal: "I came out early because I couldn't bear NOT being out. How did you bear waiting so long?"

It's a very insightful question.

When asked about his foreign policy ideas, he gave a very mediocre reply. What I was hoping for? Rehire all of the career diplomats that the Cheeto Tweeter fired, and ask for their guidance going forward

Please understand, I mean that as good-natured teasing! No offense intended.

Give Mayor Pete a serious look, he made me change my candidate preference.

My main reason is, I think we need someone with a minimal learning curve, to take over in 2020. Someone already respected, despite any 'flaws', by much of the world and knows the ins and out of who we're dealing with, and how to deal with them. Ideally I'd love to see a Biden/Harris or Biden/Warren so that the 2nd in command already has a good grasp of the ins and outs of Washington DC. In normal times, this wouldn't be such an issue, but we are most definitely NOT living in normal times.

I really, really like Mayor Pete. I haven't been this impressed by a young politician since I saw Barack Obama speaking at the Democratic Convention, in 2004. My only hesitation, at this point, is his lack of national political experience. He's young and in a cabinet position, he'd gain that experience, in no time. It is going to be fascinating to watch his career develop.

As an FYI, in 2020, I was a big Bernie supporter who whole heartedly supported Hillary. I'd still gladly support him as the candidate, but my gut tells me that his time has passed. I could be wrong - I often am.

The top portion of my list is like a traffic jam, with very few "I sure hope not" candidate and a couple "Hmmm. Must learn more about this one" candidates.

I actually see many of the people running, on our ticket, to be fantastic candidates for cabinet posts.

of that person in the white house.

People who mention his age...have not seen him
People who mention is lifestyle...have not seen him

He is the real deal and speaks so much truth to power, he is scary smart.

I can't wait to see th media try to beat this guy up, I have a feeling he is sharp enough to shame reporters and the media who try to pigeon hole him.

Bring it, Pete can handle it.
